Registration Information
Important Dates:
Packet Pickup for Pre-registered Students:
August 11th & 12th, 8-11 am and 1-3 pm in the Counseling Center.
Your student must bring proof of residence (current gas or
electric bill or a rental agreement) in order to receive a packet. All
school debts and fines must be cleared before receiving a packet.
Registration:
August 20th - Seniors
August 22nd AM - Seniors
August 22nd PM - Juniors
August 25th - Juniors
August 26th - Sophomores
August 27th - Freshmen
(Daily Sessions: AM = 8-11; PM 1-3)
The registration packet will include a schedule listing
specific times for registration based on the first letter of your
student's last name.
General Information:
Currently, Kennedy High School is closed to students living outside of our district boundaries.
Kennedy boundaries are:
Houston Street on the north,
Knott Avenue on the east, (between Crescent & Houston),
Lincoln Avenue on the south and
the L.A./Orange County border on the west.
If you have any questions about your exact residence address, please
call 220-4126 and we will check our computers for verification.
New Students - Current Year (2008-2009):
Students must be on track for graduation for enrollment at Kennedy High School.
Please bring:
- Current gas or electric bill showing parents’ name and address.
- Birth certificate.
- Unofficial transcript: 9th graders need 7th and 8th grade transcript;
10th, 11th and 12th graders need high school transcript. All students should bring their final report card for Spring 2008.
- Immunization records (If you have just moved into Orange County,
your student will need to have a current tuberculosis test. This is available
through the health department, our school district health office or
your personal physician.).
- CELDT results if your student’s home language is other than English and he/she has been attending school in California.
- Most recent IEP if your student has been in special education.
- California Test Scores or equivalent.
Your student will receive a registration packet to complete and return at an appointed time.
SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS who are in special day classes:
Placement for special education students in self contained classes is
determined by the District Office. You will be notified by mail as to
what school you will enroll in and the appropriate procedure.
